As we wait for the official price announcement of the new-gen KTM 390 Adventure, fresh details about the upcoming new-gen 250 Adventure have emerged. Images of the latest iteration of the quarter-litre adventure bike have been released on the Austrian bikemaker’s website.

While its looks are heavily inspired by the 390 Adventure, its underpinnings are based on the new-gen Duke 250. Available in a single variant, the 250 Adventure will be offered in two colourways: Orange and White. We expect prices of the new 250 Adventure to be announced in the next couple of months.

New-gen KTM 250 Adventure: What’s new?

Visually, the 250 Adventure is almost identical to the entry-level 390 Adventure X variant with alloy wheels and road-biased tyres. This includes a mean-looking face with a vertically-stacked bi-LED projector headlamp setup encased within a slim LED DRL, a beak-like fender, and a tall windscreen. Other styling highlights include a floating tail section, split-seats, an upswept exhaust muffler, an engine sump guard, and handguards.

The updated 250 Adventure is powered by the same 249cc liquid-cooled engine that makes 30 bhp and 25 Nm of peak torque. This engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox via a slip and assist clutch.

Underneath, the new 250 Adventure has witnessed several mechanical changes. The updated engine is now housed in a two-piece steel trellis frame, getting rid of the old aluminum sub-frame found on the refreshed 390 range. The ADV rolls 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels.

Additionally, the suspension has been revised, offering 200mm of travel at the front and 205mm at the rear—matching the setup of the latest 390 Adventure. Braking duties are handled by a 320mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc complemented by dual-channel ABS. The other change is a marginal drop of 0.5 litres in the fuel tank capacity to 14 litres.

In terms of features, the 2025 KTM 250 Adventure gets the same 5-inch TFT instrument panel which comes with smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth which enables turn-by-turn navigation, call & SMS alerts, and music control. Two big additions to the equipment of the upcoming 250 Adventure are ride-by-wire throttle and a bi-directional quickshifter. It also gets a USB C-type charging port.
