Austrian motorcycle maker KTM has updated its flagship adventure offering, the 1290 Super Adventure range for 2024 for the North American market. The 2024 KTM 1290 Super Adventure S and the Super Adventure R get new colour schemes as part of the update, however, mechanically, the motorcycle remains unchanged.
Starting with the 2024 KTM 1290 Super Adventure S, the road-biased touring motorcycle gets a new white and orange paint scheme with blue graphics, while the more off-road-focused 1290 Super Adventure R gets a grey shade with orange highlights.
Powering the 2024 KTM 1290 Super Adventure range is a 1,301cc, liquid-cooled V-Twin motor that makes 158bhp and 138Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle features the latest in electronic aids to make it a capable continent-crossing motorcycle.
In the global market, the new 1290 Super Adventure range competes with the Ducati Multistrada, Triumph Tiger 1200, and the new BMW GS 1300. While the latter two motorcycles are sold in India, the KTM 1290 Super Adventure range coming to India is highly unlikely.
