Polaris-owned Indian Motorcycle will be launching the Scout Bobber at India Bike Week (IBW) 2017 today. The motorcycle will make its India debut in a total of five colour options that go by the names thunder black, thunder black smoke, star silver smoke, bronze smoke and Indian Motorcycle red. The prices of these shades have been revealed to us by a source close to the development. The 2018 Indian Scout Bobber will be launched in the country at a starting price of Rs 13.09 lakh and the thunder black colour will carry this tag. The thunder black smoke colour will be a bit costlier and will set you back by Rs 13.29 lakh. The last three colours star silver smoke, bronze smoke and Indian Motorcycle red will be the most demanding and you will have to spare Rs 13.69 lakh to own one (all prices, ex-showroom, Ahmedabad). For those not in the know, the Indian Scout Bobber made its global debut in July this year. The bike takes its design inspiration from its elder Scout siblings and the stripping down of some parts lend it a raw and rugged look. The bookings for this bike have already begun at the company’s dealerships across India at a booking amount of Rs 50,000.

The Indian Scout Bobber drwas its power from a 1131cc, twin cylinder engine mated to a six-speed transmission set-up. The mill is good for developing a maximum power output of 99 hp while the peak torque stands at 97.7 Nm. The salient features of the bike include knobby tyres, chopped off front and rear fenders and tracker style handlebar. The bike gets a new suspension up front while at the rear, it has been lowered by 25mm.
Braking to the Scout Bobber is done with the help of a 298mm disc brake that has been fitted at both ends. An Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) is also being offered as standard. The 2018 Indian Scout Bobber will rival against the likes of Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight, Triumph Bonneville Bobber and Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber in India.
