2025 Honda CBR1000RR-R: More details
Compared to the older version sold in India, the new CBR1000RR-R gets updated bodywork and hardware. Honda has used a lot of learning from its MotoGP machine and has reworked the aerodynamics of the new CBR1000RR-R, which now gets winglets for added downforce at higher speeds.
Apart from the addition of the winglets, the new Honda CBR1000RR-R retains the sharp design, with sleek headlights flanking the air intake on the front. Overall, the motorcycle looks fresh, but retains its Fireblade identity.
2025 Honda CBR1000RR-R: Specifications
On the hardware front, the new 2025 Honda CBR1000RR-R features fully electronically adjustable Ohlins USD forks in the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by Brembo, which clamp on to 330mm front and a single 220mm rear disc.
The electronics package has also seen a tweak, and the motorcycle gets five levels of power modes, nine levels of traction control, three-level engine brake control, wheelie control, ABS, and more. The instrumentation is taken care of by a TFT console.
Coming to power — the 2025 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade is powered by a 999 cc inline four-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. The motor makes 214.5 bhp and 113 Nm of peak torque — identical to the previous generation model. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox that gets a bidirectional quickshifter as standard. Adding to the engine note is a full Akrapovic Titanium exhaust system, which comes as standard.
The Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade competes directly with its Japanese rival, the Kawasaki ZX-10R, and other European models like the Ducati Panigale V4 and the BMW S1000RR.
Amongst the four litre-class super bikes, the Ninja ZX-10R is the most affordable, priced at Rs 19.49 lakh, ex-showroom. All motorcycles in the segment are powered by an inline four-cylinder engine, apart from the Ducati, which is powered by a V4 motor.
