It’s been a busy month for Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India as the company has launched a string of updated models. The latest to join the 2025 lineup is the Hornet 2.0, which now meets the upcoming emission norms with new features. The Hornet squares off against TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. We find out which one should you buy.
Honda Hornet 2.0 vs TVS Apache RTR 200 4V: Price
Honda has launched a full-loaded single variant of the Hornet. It is priced at Rs 1,56,953, ex-showroom Delhi. The previous model cost Rs 1,43,451, ex-showroom Delhi. The 2025 Hornet comes in four colour options — Pearl Igneous Black, Radiant Red Metallic, Athletic Blue Metallic, and Mat Axis Gray Metallic. It is available in H MSI Red Wing and BigWing dealerships.Â
The Apache RTR 200 4V is priced at Rs 1,48,620, ex-showroom Delhi, making it around Rs 8,000 cheaper than the Honda motorcycle. It is available in three colours — Matte Blue, Gloss Black and Pearl White.Â

The Hornet now sports some class-leading features starting from the brand new 4.2-inch TFT display that can be synced to the smartphone via Bluetooth Connectivity. This allows riders to access turn-by-turn navigation, incoming call alerts, and SMS notifications. For a fast charging option, the motorcycle is equipped with a Type-C port. The updated Hornet comes with dual channel ABS system and switchable traction control.
The Apache offers connected tech including turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alert, race telemetry, lean angle mode and crash alert. The essential stops like hospitals, fuel stations and restaurants can be pre-set in the navigation system. The hindsight is that the Apache uses an old-school black-and-white LCD instrument console.Â

Honda Hornet 2.0 vs TVS Apache RTR 200 4V: Specs
The Hornet is powered by an 184.40 cc single-cylinder engine with an output of 17.03 bhp at 8500 rpm and 15.9 Nm at 6000 rpm. It is now OBD-2B compliant. It gets a 5-speed gearbox with slip-and-assist clutch.
The Apache RTR 200 4V, on the other hand, is powered by a 197.75 cc and in sport mode makes 20.5 bhp at 9000 rpm and 17.25 Nm at 7250 rpm. In Urban and Rain mode, it churns out 17.08 bhp at 7800 rpm and 16.51 Nm at 5750 rpm. Like the Hornet, the TVS motorcycle is mated to a 5-speed gearbox with slip-and-assist clutch.
