Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has made the e-clutch versions of the CB650R and CBR650R standard for the Indian market. These updated models are now exclusively available through Honda’s premium BigWing dealerships. The new e-clutch variants are priced at Rs 9.60 lakh for the CB650R and Rs 10.40 lakh for the CBR650R, marking a ₹40,000 increase over the previous standard versions, which have now been discontinued.
Honda CBR650R: What to expect?
The CBR650R showcases Honda’s sports DNA with an aggressive riding stance, aerodynamic design and imposing fairing. The mid-weight sports bike is powered by a 649cc inline four-cylinder engine delivering 94 bhp at 12,000 rpm and 63 Nm at 9,500 rpm. It is mated with a six-speed gearbox with e-clutch technology.

The sports bike is equipped with Showa 41 mm SFF-BP front forks and a rear adjustable mono-shock. Its stopping power is a combination is a combination of twin 310 mm front discs and a rear 240 mm disc with dual-channel ABS. The motorcycle’s 5-inch TFT colour digital instrument cluster supports Honda RoadSync app connectivity. Priced at Rs 10.40 lakh, ex-showroom, and is available in two colour options —Grand Prix Red and Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic.
Honda CB650R: What is it?

The streetfighter CB650R flexes its muscle with a massive fuel tank and clean yet basic design. The CB650R gets the same 649cc inline-four engine with identical power and torque output. It is mated to a 6-speed transmission with an e-clutch and is available in two paint schemes — Candy Chromosphere Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic. The naked motorcycle retains the same hardware as the CBR650R. The CB650R is priced at Rs 9.60 lakh, ex-showroom.
Honda e-clutch: Decoding easy riding tech
In 2023, Honda launched its E-Clutch technology, now standard on the CB650R and CBR650R in India. This feature enables seamless gear shifts without using the clutch lever, automatically managing the clutch in multi-gear manual motorcycle transmissions for smoother, effortless riding.
