Honda has launched the new CB1000 Hornet SP in India at Rs 12.35 lakh, ex-showroom. The new Honda CB1000 Hornet SP is a street naked that sits above the Hornet 750 in Honda’s lineup, which has also been launched alongside the litre-class street naked. Bookings for the new Honda CB1000 Hornet SP commence from today and Honda says deliveries for the litre-class motorcycle will start from June 2025 onwards.
New Honda CB1000 Hornet SP — What makes it special?
The new Honda CB1000 Hornet SP is based on a twin-spar frame, and is suspended by Showa’s SFF-BP inverted fork at the front and new Ohlins TTX36 at the rear. Braking duties are taken care of by twin 310mm Brembo radial-mount calipers for CB1000 Hornet SP and at the rear it gets a 240mm disc. Dual-channel ABS comes as standard.

In terms of electronics, the litre-class Hornet gets a five-inch TFT instrument console, Honda Selectable Torque control, and five ride modes: Sport, Standard, Rain, and two custom modes. The motorcycle gets a bi-directional quickshifter as standard, while the motorcycle also gets an emergency stop signal.

The new CB1000 Hornet SP is powered by a creamy smooth 999cc, liquid cooled, 4 Stroke, 16 valves, Inline Four DOHC engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. The engine comes mated to an assist & slipper clutch. The Honda CB1000 Hornet Sp will be sold through Honda’s BigWind dealerships across India and the pricing gives the Honda an edge over its competitors.
