According to today Honda, they sell a new Activa every nine seconds! To put that in perspective, by the time you would have finished reading this story, Honda would have already sold 18 new Activas’! Reflecting a startling 180% growth in terms of sales of just the Activa, driven by an expanding market that has grown by 52% in the last half-decade.
52percentt may seem like just a number, but here’s how it breaks down, in the first seven years that Honda sold their Activa that is between 2001 and 2008, they sold Rs 20 lakh Activas’. Skip forward to 2017 and Honda have managed to sell 20 lakh in seven months breaking all sales record of an Indian two-wheeler manufacturer, that’s 3 lakhs automatic scooters every month!
