The newest 250cc motorcycle in the street naked segment is the all-new Hero Xtreme 250R. Priced at Rs 1.80 lakh, ex-showroom, the motorcycle takes the fight to two other popular motorcycles in the category — the KTM 250 Duke and the Bajaj Dominar 250. So how does the new Xtreme 250R compare against the two in terms of specifications? Here’s a detailed look.
Hero Xtreme 250R vs competition — A quick intro

All three motorcycles have a few things in common, such as USD front forks, a monoshock at the rear, 17-inch wheels front and rear, disc brakes at both ends, dual-channel ABS, digital instrument console with phone connectivity, alloy wheels, and more.
A big difference between the three motorcycles is their looks — the Xtreme looks sharp and sporty with its angled headlight, tank shrouds, and a muscular tank, while the KTM looks aggressive, bringing in the same design language as the larger 390 Duke, with an angular design and large tank shrouds. The Bajaj Dominar 250 looks subtle when compared, but has its unique design borrowed from the larger Dominar 400.

Hero Xtreme 250R vs competition — Engine specifications
Again, all three motorcycles are powered by liquid-cooled single-cylinder engines mated to a six-speed gearbox. Amongst the three, the 250 Duke is the only motorcycle to get a quick shifter as standard, while the Xtreme 250R and the Dominar 250 don’t have it even as an option.
