Hero MotoCorp is gearing up to expand its electric scooter portfolio with two new affordable products under Vida. Earlier at the FY2025 earnings call, the company announced it will enter the budget-friendly segment. This will help Hero MotoCorp compete with two-wheeler EV segment leaders like TVS, Ola Electric, Bajaj Auto and Ather Energy. The two upcoming new products will make their debut on July 1.
Hero new Vida lineup: What to expect?
Currently, the Vida electric scooter lineup offers three variants — V2 Lite, V2 Plus and V2 Pro. The two new models are expected to be slotted below them and will make the brand a lot more accessible to buyers. The Vida range is priced from Rs 74,000 to Rs 1.15 lakh, ex-showroom and is available with three battery options — 2.2 kWh, 3.4 kWh and 3.9 kWh. Hero MotoCorp has kept mum on the specifications, but reports suggest that the new EV architecture is called ACPD. The design of the new e-scooters is expected to be different from the V2 and Z range.Â
Hero Vida: New Campaign
Vida has recently launched a new campaign called ‘Charging Simple Hai’, which highlights the convenience of charging removable batteries with a simple household electric plug point. The campaign explains the advantages of removable battery technology. It explains how one can easily charge the removable battery with a standard 5-ampere plug socket at home. One doesn’t have to frantically search for a charging station, and with a removable battery, this could be the answer for range anxiety.
The Vida electric scooter comes with removable batteries that can be conveniently charged using a standard 5-ampere plug socket found in most homes. The campaign further says, there is no need to move the entire scooter to a plug-point; simply take the batteries out, and charge them anytime, anywhere.
