Harley-Davidson India has announced an increase in prices of some of its motorcycles by 1.5 percent. The new prices will be effective from 1 April, 2017. The price increase will be applicable on Street 750, Sportster and Touring motorcycles range in India. Last year, the American motorcycle manufacturer launched its new 2017 model range and also added the CVO Limited, Road Glide Special and the Roadster to their lineup.
The 2017 Harley- Davidson range is powered by an all-new Milwaukee-Eight engine series, consisting of the Milwaukee-Eight 107 oil cooled and Twin-Cooled Milwaukee-Eight 114 on select motorcycles. For the safety, of rider, the company has now equipped the all its motorcycles with ABS as standard. The Street 750 was launched without ABS and even after its first update, the motorcycle lacked ABS.
Recently, Harley-Davidson introduced a new motorcycle in its line up, the Street Rod. The motorcycle is a cruiser motorcycle and is priced at Rs 5.86 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. The new motorcycle is positioned between the Street 750 and Iron 883. The Street Rod is powered by a 749 cc,V-Twin High Output Revolution X engine and is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The engine produces 11 percent more power and five percent more torque than the Street 750.
