Pune-based EMotorad has launched its latest electric cycle called the Ranger, priced at Rs 55,999. Available through EMotorad’s dealerships as well as e-commerce websites such as Amazon and Flipkart, the Ranger bridges the gap between electric cycles and motorbikes, offering an unmatched riding experience without the need for a driver’s license, fuel, or registration.

EMotorad Ranger Specs

The Ranger’s design philosophy is rooted in creating a product that is fun, functional, and futuristic. With its rugged high-tensile steel frame, aggressive styling, and fat 20-inch tyres, the Ranger is built to turn heads. The vehicle is powered by a 48V 12.75Ah removable battery, offering a real-world range of up to 75 km on pedal assist and 60 km on throttle mode, making it ideal for daily commutes or weekend adventures.

On this launch, CEO and Co-founder of EMotorad, Kunal Gupta, stated, “With Ranger, we’re pushing the boundaries of what an e-cycle can be. It’s a product designed for those who don’t want to compromise between fun and function. Ranger looks like a motorbike, rides like an e-cycle, and supports the brand’s mission of making electric mobility accessible and exciting.”

EMotorad Ranger Features

What sets the Ranger apart is its feature loaded build designed for Indian roads and trails. It includes 7-speed Shimano gears for smooth shifting, a Cluster C6+ digital display for essential ride metrics, and 120 mm double crown suspension for handling rough terrain with ease. The e-cycle can accommodate riders 5.4 ft and taller, with a maximum weight capacity of 110 kg, and is backed by a 5-year frame warranty.

EMotorad other developments

In April last year, the Pune-based electric cycle manufacturer roped in former India cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni as its official brand ambassador. Not just a face of the brand, the former wicketkeeper batsman has also invested in the company which entails equity ownership. On the occasion of his birthday last year, EMotorad launched the MSD Edition Legend 07 Cycle. The special edition cycle, wrapped in a vibrant yellow, paid tribute to Dhoni’s legacy in the Indian Premiere League as a player for Chennai Super Kings.
