Ducati has teased an upcoming model, and if our intuition is right, it could be the XDiavel V4. The new XDiavel V4 will make its global debut on Feb 13, while its launch in India will follow soon, and when launched, expect the XDiavel to cost more than the Diavel V4. Let’s take a closer look at what the motorcycle features.
New Ducati XDiavel V4 — What to expect
While details are limited, we can expect the new Ducati XDiavel to sport premium parts and slight updates to its set of features, going by the previous generation Diavel and XDiavel. The new XDiavel V4 is likely to get an updated colour scheme and a new design for its wheels.
In terms of its engine, it will be the same 1,158cc V4 Granturismo unit that will make 168bhp — the same as the standard Diavel V4. The XDiavel could see an increase in torque and will be mated to the same 6-speed gearbox as the standard version with a bidirectional quickshifter. The XDiavel is expected to get ride modes, and a host of other electronic nannies to tame the power.
Equipment on the new Ducati XDiavel will include fully adjustable USD forks up front, an adjustable monoshock at the rear, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED lighting, disc brakes at both ends with ABS modes, and a TFT instrument console. The Ducati XDiavel will have a sole competitor when launched in India — the Triumph Rocket 3.
