Norton Motorcycles is setting foot in India later this year. This development was confirmed by Sudarshan Venu, MD, TVS Motor Company, earlier in May this year when the India-UK Free Trade Agreement came into effect earlier in May this year. For the uninitiated, TVS acquired Norton Motorcycles in April 2020 through an all-cash deal valued at approximately £16 million (approx Rs 153 crore).

Earlier in May, reports indicated that the iconic British brand will introduce its flagship V4 model in India but didn’t confirm exactly which one. The company retails two V4 models in the global lineup – V4CR and V4SV. We recently got to know TVS is most likely to introduce the latter first.

Earlier last week, Venu took to his social media handle to tease the V4SV which is most likely to be the first Norton model in India. The bike has been confirmed for a global debut at EICMA 2025 in Milan later this year. In a recent spy image, Venu was onboard the litre-class fully-faired sports bike which was wrapped completely in black. Now, another set of images has surfaced online courtesy of YouTube.

Norton V4SV: Expected design

The latest video shows snippets of the new Norton V4SV which is clearly very different from the current iteration of the superbike. The front fascia sees a major makeover featuring sleeker twin LED headlamps giving the bike a sharper look. The test mule seen in the video misses out on side panels which suggest it may still undergo some revisions. On a closer look, one can notice the ducts at the edge of the headlights, possibly a ram-air intake for the engine.

The mirrors are mounted closer to the visor to keep optimum aerodynamics. The floating rear section too has looks sharper thanks to a new triangular, multi-layered design taillamp design that was teased recently by the company. The test mule also doesn’t carry a dedicated exhaust muffler but Norton may carry forward with an underbelly exhaust to keep things minimalistic and simple.

Norton V4SV: Expected mechanical specs

Besides looks, the spy images say a lot about what lies underneath the motorcycle. It is underpinned by a heavily redesigned frame that sits on a fully adjustable suspension setup possibly sourced from Ohlins comprising upside down front forks and a rear monoshock. The superbike rolls on 17-inch wheel shod with sticky Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V4 tyres. Braking hardware will consist of Brembo’s top-spec Hypure monobloc callipers.

As for the engine, we expect the Norton V4SV to come powered by the same 1200cc, 72-degree liquid-cooled V4 engine which propels the current model. However, it is expected to undergo major revisions including compliance with latest emission norms and more performance. The current unit produces 185 bhp at 12,500 rpm and 125 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm.
