Ducati will be launching the all-new Panigale V4 in India on March 5. The Italian superbike brand has confirmed through a media release and a social media most where the litre class sports bike has been teased. Bookings for the same commenced earlier last month. Even before the price announcement, all units of the new-gen Panigale V4 have already been sold out for this year.

The new Panigale first broke cover in July last year. The new Panigale V4 is heavily inspired by the race bike that won Ducati the Superbike World Championship for two consecutive years. As a result, it has undergone revisions in almost every department, be it design, ergonomics, or specifications. Already on sale in several international markets, here’s a look at what to expect from the new-gen Ducati Panigale V4.

2025 Ducati Panigale V4: Design

Starting with the looks, the new Panigale V4 takes inspiration from the legendary Ducati 916 since it is the first flagship Ducati superbike since the 916 to ditch the single-sided swingarm. At the front, the Panigale V4 features sleeker twin LED headlamps with integrated DRLs. The signature winglets have been repositioned beneath the headlights instead of along the sides, making them more subtle, further enhanced by a refined body-colored paint finish.

With a sharper and more sculpted design, the new Panigale V4 sheds excess bulk, showcasing taut fairings for a more aggressive look. Ducati retains its signature elements, including a solo rider’s seat, an underbelly exhaust can, and a distinctive floating tail section.

2025 Ducati Panigale V4: Hardware

The underpinnings of the new Panigale have received a massive upgrade. While the main frame has been carried over from the outgoing model, the rear subframe is all new, thereby reducing the weight of the chassis by 17%. Overall the new Panigale V4 weighs 187 kg (kerb without fuel) while the V4 S weighs 191 kilos (kerb without fuel). In India, Ducati is only expected to offer the former variant.

More significantly, Ducati has moved to a double-sided swingarm which is said to improve the bike’s stability during straight line runs. The new swingarm reduces lateral stiffness by 37% compared to the previous single-sided unit ensuring quicker corner exits. The chassis sits on an Ohlins-sourced electronic suspension setup comprising NPX-30 pressurised front forks and a TTX36 monoshock.

Braking duties will be carried out by Brembo HypureTM front brake callipers which are 60 grams lighter than the Brembo Stylema callipers. The superbike rolls on new 17-inch aluminium alloy wheels that are lighter by 2.17 kg  resulting in reduced inertia. The wheels are shod with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP-V4 tyres.

2025 Ducati Panigale V4: Features

As always, the new Ducati Panigale V4 will be loaded with tech such as a 6.9-inch TFT fully-digital instrument console with customizable displays for different Track and Road modes. Besides convenience, the new Panigale V4 gets a host of electronic rider aids with a new system in place called Race eCBS. This system is responsible for monitoring the bike’s lean angle, throttle position and rear load.

Moreover the IMU package offers electronic features such as slide control, wheelie control, traction control, power launch, engine brake control, and a quickshifter. There are four power modes on offer– Full, High, Medium and Low.

2025 Ducati Panigale V4: Powertrain

The new Panigale V4 is powered by a 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine, derived from Ducati’s MotoGP machine. This high-performance motor produces 213 bhp at 13,500 rpm and a peak torque of 120.9 Nm at 11,250 rpm. Lighter and more powerful than its predecessor, the V4 unit features a 90-degree crank, delivering the distinct exhaust note characteristic of the Desmosedici GP.

For those seeking even more performance, opting for the Ducati Performance racing exhaust by Akrapovič boosts peak power to 225 bhp.
