Expected to hit Indian showrooms early next year, Ducati Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour will rival the likes of BMW R 1250 GS, BMW S 1000 XR, and Honda Africa Twin.

After making its global debut in September this year, the Ducati Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour will make its way to India soon. The Italian superbike brand has officially listed the flagship adventure tourer on the country’s website. It sits on top of Ducati’s Multistrada V4 range but gets a lot more touring capabilities thanks to the bunch of accessories on offer.

Compared to the V4 S, the V4 S GT gets a new livery with grey, black and red accents on the bodywork, and a new pillion seat. However, the design is identical to the rest of the Multistrada V4 models. The GT gets colour-coded panniers side fitted as standard, as well as centre stand as standard fitments. The centre stand makes it easier to load and unload the motorcycle, as well as do some maintenance.

Besides these, it gets features like hand guards and an adjustable transparent visor as standard fitments. Other features on offer include a 6.5-inch TFT instrument console, heated seats, heated grips, smartphone connectivity, navigation, tyre pressure monitoring system, cruise control, cornering lights, closable vents near the legs to manage heat and also a vent on the phone charging compartment to help cool devices when being charged.

Powering the new V4 S GT is a 1,158cc liquid-cooled V4 engine that makes 167 bhp and 125 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a bidirectional quickshifter. Performance is aided courtesy of multiple riding modes, power modes, and electronic safety aids like traction control, wheelie control and cornering ABS.

The motorcycle gets fully adjustable suspension at both ends featuring a 50mm upside-down fork at front and a monoshock at rear. Braking duties are handled by  dual 330 mm front discs and a single 265 mm disc at the rear complemented by a dual-channel ABS. The bike rolls on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, which are wrapped in 120/70 front and 170/60 rear tyres, respectively.
