Ducati is planning on launching a more potent version of its power cruiser — the Diavel. To be called the Ducati Diavel V4 RS, the motorcycle is expected to be launched next year and the source comes from the same NHTSA document that was leaked earlier that gave us details about the Ducati Monster and the Desert X that will use an 890cc engine, as reported by Motorcycle.com.
New Ducati Diavel V4 RS — What to expect?
The upcoming Ducati Diavel V4 RS is expected to be sold in limited numbers, with each example being numbered. The motorcycle is expected to be lighter and use top-of-the-shelf components for its suspension and braking hardware. The motorcycle is also expected to be lighter than the standard Diavel models.
The engine will be a highlight, as it could use a derivative of the Panigale V4 RS’ engine, which could give the motorcycle a decent bump in power. The standard Ducati Diavel V4 uses an 1158cc engine that makes 166bhp and 126 Nm of peak torque with the help of a six-speed gearbox.
Ducati is also expected to offer a host of electronic aids with the motorcycle and the Diavel V4 will compete directly with the Triumph Rocket 3 in India and in the global markets. Ducati could offer the new Diavel V4 RS in India in limited numbers, however, more news on this will be available soon.
