The Scrambler Icon Dark is based on the Icon, the major difference being the all-black matte treatment provided to the former. This includes matte black finish on the fuel tank, tank covers, mudguard and headlight covers. On the other hand, the Scrambler Full Throttle is said to be the sportiest offering in the Ducati Scrambler range which is inspired by US Flat Track competitions on dirt ovals.

The side number plates reprise the livery, a sump guard, and bear the number 62 since the Scrambler range made its debut 1962. The Scrambler Icon Dark, takes inspiration from the  Tracker style of the original bike. Both motorcycles offer the same set of features including cornering ABS, ride-by-wire, and two riding modes—Rain and Sport. However, a bi-directional quickshifter is an optional extra on the Scrambler Icon Dark.

Ducati is offering a wide range of accessories for the Scrambler range including exhaust mufflers, seats, coloured covers, many components machined from solid – footrests, mirrors, tank caps – and soft bags, all viewable via the new online configurator.
