For the last two years, CFMoto has been on a roll with new motorcycle launches and showcasing some interesting concepts at EICMA. The latest to make the news is a full-blown adventure motorcycle based on the CFMoto 800MT, called the 800 MT-X.
Very little was revealed about the motorcycle when the concept was showcased, but it gathered a lot of attention owing to its styling. Since then, CFMoto has been busy, and slowly, details of the 800 MT-X have come to light.
The first is that it will go into production, and the motorcycle maker has completed the homologation requirements, hinting that it will be launched soon. The next big update is that it will use the same engine as the other 800cc motorcycles from CFMoto’s lineup.
The engine is a derivative of the KTM LC8 motor, and it sees a few tweaks. Although specifications are not out yet, the motorcycle, when launched, will be a great alternative to the KTM 890 Adventure series, and the CFMoto looks rally-ready straight out of the box.
