We take a closer look and find out what the technical snag is all about.

Ola Roadster X+: No charge, no go

Before we get into the issues the customer faces, we also had our share of problems with the Roadster X+ test bike. You can click on ‘Read More’ below and get to know our first-hand experience with the electric bike.

Kamal, an owner of the Ola Roadster X+, posted a video on YouTube and revealed the serious issues his electric motorcycle came with. As an electric two-wheeler, charging is vital, but Kamal’s Ola bike refused to do so. According to his YouTube video, he had booked the bike on March 7, and soon after receiving it, the motorcycle was facing charging issues. He revealed that even when the motorcycle was plugged in, its screen read out ‘Not Charging’. Kamal explained he immediately reached out to the customer care centre for help, but after trying all the instructions, he had no choice but to take it to the nearest Ola service station. Things got bad to worse for Kamal as the service centre executive checked the bike and told him he did not know what the issue was.

There are multiple owners who have voiced their frustration over delayed deliveries of the Roadster X+ on X, formerly Twitter. Saroj Kumar Patra (@spsaroj7) posted — “@OlaElectric I booked an Ola Roadster X+ 9.1 kWh on 11th February 2025 through the Ola app. The estimated delivery date was 21st June 2025, but as of 7th July 2025, I have not received any update or communication about my vehicle’s status.”

Customers also raised questions on Ola Electric’s claimed lifetime warranty on the Ola Roadster X+. Tr. Suresh Kumar (@Suresh__dhaka29) (translated in English) — “Know the truth about Ola Electric! Deception? Fraud? False promises? I bought the Roadster X Plus bike from Ola Electric. At the time of purchase, big promises were made: Move OS Plus, Lifetime Warranty … But what was the reality? Only a 3-year warranty! Is this Ola’s “new thinking”?
