Classic Legends is gearing up to reintroduce BSA in India with the launch of the Gold Star 650. A subsidiary of the Mahindra Group, it also brought back brands like Jawa and Yezdi motorcycles. The Gold Star is currently sold in Europe and now will take on the undisputed segment leader, the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.
BSA Gold Star 650: Retro design
The Gold Star remains true to its classic heritage, featuring a sleek design crowned by its iconic teardrop-shaped fuel tank. It revives the 1960s aesthetic at full throttle, maintaining traditional spoke wire wheels, a vintage round headlamp with LED DRLs, circular side mirrors, and a flat single seat. The motorcycle is further adorned with chrome accents on the exhaust, engine components, and an optional tank finish. It boasts a twin-pod analogue instrument console that includes a speedometer, a tachometer, and an LCD multi-information display.
BSA Gold Star 650: Engine and Features
The Gold Star will be powered by a 652cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder with twin spark plugs, which has an output of 44 bhp at 6,500 rpm and 55 Nm at 4,000 rpm. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

BSA Gold Star 650: Hardware and Features
The BSA motorcycle gets 41 mm upside-down front forks with twin rear shock absorbers and with 5-step adjustable preload. Along with dual-channel ABS, the God Star has a 320 mm front disc brake and a 255 mm disc at the rear. It has a combination of an 18-inch wheel in front and a 17-inch in the rear and a fuel tank capacity of 12 litres. The convenience, the Gold Star comes with a USB port tucked away on the left handlebar and a 12 V socket on the left-hand side below the throttle body.
The Gold Star is based on a tubular frame and has a kerb weight of 213.5 kg. In terms of dimensions, it is 2206 mm in length, 817 mm in width and 1093 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 1425 mm. According to BSA, the Gold Star has a minimum ground clearance of 150 mm and a seat height of 782 mm.Â
