BMW Motorrad price hike — More details and new launches

The increase in price varies depending on the model. BMW Motorrad currently sells 24 models in India, and adding the variants makes it 30. The most affordable offering is the G 310 R and the price hike on the single-cylinder street naked will not be significant when compared to the larger offerings like the S 1000 RR or the R 1300 GS.

And speaking about the R 1300 GS, the German motorcycle maker will be launching the new R 1300 GSA in India soon, which is based on the R 1300 GS that was launched last year. The GSA gets more ride height, gets a larger fuel tank, and a host of standard electronic aids.

The upcoming BMW R 1300 GSA is powered by the new 1300cc liquid-cooled boxer twin engine that made it debut with the R 1300 GS. The engine makes 145bhp and 149Nm of peak torque, mated to an AMT gearbox. It gets all the bells and whistles the R 1300 GS gets and a long list of electronic aids and comfort features.

Apart from the R 1300 GSA, BMW is also expected to launch the F 450 GS in India later this year, which was showcased at EICMA as a concept. The motorcycle is brand new, meaning it has been designed ground-up and also gets a new 48bhp liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine.
