BMW Motorrad has discontinued the G 310 R and G 310 GS in India. In fact, according to various reports, the two motorcycles have not in stock since January this year and dealers have not replenished their inventory either. Also, what’s interesting is that the two motorcycles were on sale with a discount of Rs 50,000 till December 2024.
BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS — What happened?
The two motorcycles – G 310 R and G 310 GS – have reached the end of their lifecycle and BMW has not decided to update the engine to meet the latest OBD-2B norms. Also, most dealerships across India do not have any unsold motorcycles either.
However, the third offering in the 310 lineup, the G 310 RR, is still on sale and will be for a while. There are chances of the fully-faired 310 also going out of production soon, as TVS will be launching its own 300cc engine that was showcased last year. The engine is expected to make its debut with the TVS adventure motorcycle.
BMW Motorrad — Wat are the plans?

BMW has announced that its new F 450 GS will be launched in India later this year and the engine – a brand new 450cc twin-cylinder engine – could possibly spawn a street-naked and a fully-faired motorcycle. However, there is no confirmation of this. As of now, the only confirmation is that the BMW F 450 GS will be launched in India later this year and it will be built by TVS, giving the motorcycle a price advantage.
