Benelli will soon introduce a fully-faired version of the TNT 300, the Tornado 302R. In a recent video released by Kuba Motor, a Turkish motorcycle manufacturer that develops low-cost two-wheelers for Turkey, the Benelli Tornado 302 is showcased, where the bike’s capabilities are depicted on track and public roads. You can watch the video herein to hear what the motor and exhaust sound like.
The Benelli Tornado 302R is powered by a 300 cc, liquid-cooled vertical twin dual overhead camshaft motor that generates 36 hp of power at 10,000 rpm and 27.4 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm which is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The bike sits on a trellis (or trestle) frame and the full fairing has the signature Benelli styling with dual headlamps upfront. Similar to the TNT 300, the Benelli Tornado 302 carries a mix of red, grey and white paint scheme with the 302R livery on the fairing.
The suspension setup comprises of 41mm inverted forks at the front, a monoshock at the rear, while braking duties are performed by dual 240 mm disc brakes upfront and a 240 mm disc at the rear. Metzeler tyres sized at 100/70 section for the front and a 150/70 section for the rear are also a part of the standard package with 17-inch alloy wheels.
The Benelli Tornado 302R comes with ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), according to the company’s official German website and this is expected to be a part of the package when launched in India. In addition, all motorcycles displacing 125 cc are required to have ABS as standard fitment from 2017, as per the Government regulations.
