Aprilia RS457 — Technical specifications
The Aprilia RS457 was a much-anticipated motorcycle as this is the company’s first offering in the sub-500cc category. The motorcycle sports a full fairing and gets a host of electronic aids such as dual-channel ABS, ride modes, and various levels of traction control. There is also an optional quickshifter as part of the accessories list.
Powering the motorcycle is a 457cc, liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine that makes 47bhp and 43.5Nm of torque with the help of a six-speed gearbox. This makes it the most powerful in its class and competes directly with the KTM RC390, which is powered by a single-cylinder engine. The Aprilia RS 457 platform will also see other models and the company has already unveiled the street naked version of the bike – Tuono 457 – at EICMA, which will make it to India.
