KTM seems to be busy developing the next-generation Duke — an all-electric one. The motorcycle was spotted in a video shared by Rok Bagros, KTM’s stunt rider. This being KTM’s first-ever electric Duke, KTM would incorporate everything that makes the Duke range a success, and more.
All-electric KTM Duke — What to expect?
The video shows the design of the motorcycle and KTM has retained the aggressive styling synonymous with the Duke range. The motorcycle gets an angular headlight with one projector unit in the middle, while the tank looks muscular. KTM has given it a split seat setup and the tank shrouds give the electric Duke an aggressive stance.
On the equipment front, the motorcycle features adjustable USD forks, a monoshock at the rear, alloy wheels, disc brakes at both ends, and a small TFT instrument console. KTM is also expected to give the electric Duke a host of electronic aids such as lean-sensitive ABS and traction control, and a launch mode (Why not?).
There are no details of the battery pack or motor, however, it could get a 5.5kWh battery pack paired to a 10kW motor — details KTM had revealed at an earlier stage when asked about its electric vehicle strategy. There are no details about the battery recharge time, range, acceleration, or top speed figures.
We can expect KTM to make the official unveil in the following weeks, as KTM’s own test rider has shared the video of the upcoming KTM e-Duke. Stay tuned as we will bring more details about the all-electric KTM Duke.
