One of TVS’ longest models in existence, the Apache RTR series, has received an update — the RTR 200 4V. The Hosur-based company has launched the updated RTR 200 4V to celebrate 20 years of the brand’s existence and the motorcycle gets some goodies that make it ride and handle better. Here are the top three highlights of the 2025 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.

Platform and design
The new RTR 200 4V is underpinned by the same chassis and there is no difference here. In terms of design too, there are no updates and the RTR 200 4V retains its sharp and sporty design with a muscular fuel tank, sharp tank shrouds, and a side-mounted exhaust. With the 2025 update, TVS has launched three new colours for the Apache — Glossy Black, Matte Black, and Granite Grey.
Equipment and features

The 2025 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V sees a big update in terms of front suspension, as it now gets USD forks finished in gold. The rear continues to be a monoshock, while disc brakes take care of braking duties at both ends. The motorcycle runs on 17-inch alloy wheels at the front and rear. That said, the new Apache also gets a hydroformed handlebar.
In terms of electronic aids, the new RTR 200 4V gets dual-channel ABS, three ride modes — Urban, Sport, and Rain — slipper clutch, adjustable brake and clutch levers, and a fully digital instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity.
Engine specifications and competition
The engine has been a highlight in the RTR series and with the updated model, TVS has left it unchanged apart from making it OBD-2B compliant. Powering the motorcycle is an air-cooled single-cylinder engine mated to a 5-speed gearbox. In terms of competition, there are plenty from Bajaj, Honda, Hero MotoCorp, and KTM.
