Kawasaki has launched the 2025 Versys 650 in India, priced at Rs 7.93 lakh, ex-showroom. This makes the 2025 version Rs 16,000 more than the 2024 version of the Versys 650. For the extra money, the engine has seen tweaks to meet the latest emission norms, and the middle-weight tourer also gets a new colour scheme. Here are more details.

2025 Kawasaki Versys 650 — What’s new?

The design of the motorcycle remains the same, and this is a design that has worked well for many years. It retains the tall adventure motorcycle design with a high front fairing, tall windscreen, split headlights, underbelly exhaust, and twin-seat setup. The biggest visual update is the new colour scheme — grey with green.

The equipment also remains unchanged and the Kawasaki Versys 650 gets adjustable USD forks, a monoshock at the rear, 17-inch wheels, twin discs at the front and a single disc at the rear, a TFT instrument cluster with phone connectivity, alloy wheels, and LED lights.

The engine is the highlight of the motorcycle as it is extremely flexible — it can tour comfortably all day as well as be comfortable in the city. The 649cc parallel twin engine makes 66bhp and 61Nm of torque and is now OBD-2B compliant. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and there is no quickshifter on offer even as an accessory.
