The Ninja range is Kawasaki’s primary breadwinner not just in India but globally as well. The Japanese superbike brand doesn’t like too many changes but constantly keeps making small updates in order to stay relevant. The latest change is the 2025 Ninja 650 which gets minor updates over the outgoing model.
2025 Kawasaki Ninja 650: What’s new?
Priced at Rs 7.27 lakh (ex-showroom), the Ninja 650 is now dearer by Rs 11,000. Few units of the older Ninja 650 are still available in dealerships at a hefty discount of Rs 45,000. The updated Ninja 650 comes wrapped in a Lime Green shade as standard which is inspired by the Kawasaki Racing Team Edition.

In the latest iteration, the Lime Green shade gets sporty white accents that gives the fully-faired motorcycle a fresh appeal. Besides the colour scheme, the only other change is an updated powertrain. The Kawasaki Ninja 650 is powered by the same 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine paired with a six-speed gearbox. This motor produces 67bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 64Nm at 6,700rpm. More importantly, this powertrain is now OBD2B compliant.
Just like the outgoing model, the 2025 Ninja 650 is built around a steel trellis frame and has a kerb weight of 196kg. It rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels, supported by 41mm telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock with preload adjustability. Braking duties are handled by dual 300mm discs up front and a 220mm disc at the rear.
