Kawasaki has spiced up its 650cc sport touring offering, the Ninja 650, by giving it the KRT treatment. Launched at Rs 7.27 lakh ex-showroom, the Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT edition is Rs 17,000 more than the standard Ninja 650, but it ensures that it stands out compared to the stock bike. Let’s take a closer look at the new Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT edition.

2025 Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT edition — What makes it special?

KRT stands for Kawasaki Racing Team and that alone is enough to make the motorcycle special. Kawasaki has won eight World Superbike Championships and six of them were in a row from 2015 to 2020 in the hands of Jonathan Rea. That said, the KRT livery is carried on to the Ninja 650, featuring black, white, and yellow stripes.

Kawasaki also says that the new Ninja 650 KRT edition gets traction control and an upgraded tech pack. The standard version also gets traction control, however, it is to be seen if the system has been tweaked or received any sort of updates. The motorcycle features a dual-channel ABS and TFT instrument console.

Apart from the changes above, the Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT edition retains the same 649cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. The engine makes 67bhp and 64Nm of peak torque, while the motorcycle gets a slip and assist clutch. Kawasaki does not offer a quickshifter with the motorcycle.
