While the name may sound very “Indian” but Indian is very much a true American motorcycle brand parallel to the iconic Harley-Davidson. For 2025, Indian has made some significant updates to the Scout lineup which now comprises five models— Scout Classic, Super Scout, Scout Bobber, Sport Scout and the 101 Scout.
Each model is further divided into three variants each– Standard, Limited and Limited+ Tech. This marks the first major overhaul for the Indian Scout line-up since Polaris took over the American brand. The updated Scout lineup has also been listed on the company’s official India website, although prices are yet to be announced.
2025 Indian Scout: Mechanical specs
Powering the Indian Scout is an all-new 1,250cc V-Twin liquid-cooled engine dubbed as SpeedPlus. This power plant replaces the outgoing 1,133cc V-twin engine. The new motor churns out 111 bhp and 111 Nm of peak torque in the range-topping 101 Scout, while the rest of the models make 105 bhp and 109 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are carried out by a six-speed gearbox.

The new engine has led to changes in the platform. The new Indian Scout is underpinned by a new tubular steel frame and the radiator is tucked away a little more discreetly than before. The revised suspension setup is suspended on a fully-adjustable setup featuring upside down telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers.
2025 Indian Scout: Features
The standard variant is available in three models– Scout Classic, Scout Bobber, and Sport Scout. Each of these models come standard with ABS, new LED lighting, and an analogue gauge which now gets fuel level and fuel economy readouts. The Limited trim adds traction control, and cruise control to the features package. Further, these variants benefit from a USB charging port, and three selectable ride modes– Sport, Standard, and Tour.

On top of the features mentioned above, the Limited+ Tech trims add a 101mm round touchscreen display powered by Ride Command to the equipment. This instrument panel offers a GPS system with turn-by-turn navigation and point-to-point route planning, configurable gauges, ride stats and more to enhance the riding experience.
The top-spec Indian Scout trim is offered with connected services via Ride Command that provides data regarding bike’s health, location and more. The Limited +Tech trim also offers a push-button, keyless ignition, for convenient on-off capabilities.
