Honda launched the SP 160 in India a few days ago, priced at Rs 91,771 onwards, ex-showroom. The new Honda SP 160 is available in two variants – Drum and Disc – the latter priced at Rs 1 lakh, ex-showroom. The new Honda SP 160 commands a small premium over the older version and here’s how the 2025 Honda SP 160 differs from the older version.
2025 Honda SP 160 — What’s changed?
Design
The first notable change is the design of the 2025 Honda SP 160. The new motorcycle gets a more aggressive design compared to the older model. The rear now gets an LED tail lamp and overall, the model looks more sporty. Honda is offering the new SP 160 in five colour options: Pearl Igneous Black, Matt Axis Grey Metallic, Pearl Siren Blue, Imperial Red Metallic, and Matt Marvel Blue Metallic.
Engine specifications
The engine on the new Honda SP 160 is the same 162.71cc, single-cylinder air-cooled engine that makes 13bhp and 14.8Nm of peak torque. The engine is now OBD2B compliant, which is set to become the norm soon. The engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox. Honda has updated the engine on other models also to meet the new norms.
Features and hardware
In terms of features, the updated Honda SP 160 gets a 4.2-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, which has turn-by-turn navigation and call/message alerts. Other equipment remains the same such as the telescopic front forks, a monoshock at the rear, a choice of drum or disc brake, and alloy wheels. Lighting is all-LED now.
