Ducati has officially unveiled the all-new 2024 Multistrada V2 at the Intermot show in Cologne, Germany. It comes shortly after the Italian superbike brand officially revealed the new-gen Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 on which the new Multistrada is based. The latest iteration of the adventure tourer gets several upgrades over the outgoing model.

The new Multistrada V2 has two variants: standard V2 and S and is available in two colour options namely: Ducati Red and Storm Green. While the bike is set to go on sale globally starting in January 2025, Ducati has yet to make any announcements regarding its availability in India.

2025 Ducati Multistrada V2: What’s new?

The 2025 Multistrada V2 has worked out and shed almost 18 kilos weight. The new 890cc motor which replaces the one with the 937cc L-twin engine weighs only 54.9 kg. This motor now dishes out  113.4 bhp at 10,750 rpm and a peak torque of 92.1 Nm at 8,250 rpm. This translates to a power bump of 2.4 bhp and a jump in torque by 3.9 Nm. This power mill is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch and bidirectional quickshifter.

The reason cited for this increase in output by Ducati is a revised variable intake valve timing. Further, the Multistrada V2 now gets a bigger flywheel and revised gear ratios in order to offer more grunt lower down the rev range. It gets a longer sixth gear for better cruising abilities and also saving more fuel in the tank.

Moreover, this new engine now sits on a new aluminium monocoque frame and a reworked steel trellis subframe and a double-sided swingarm made from cast aluminium. This new chassis helps reduce weight while adding to the bike’s cornering stability in comparison to the steel trellis frame offered in the outgoing model.
