2025 Bajaj Dominar 250 and 400 — What’s new?
The overall styling of the motorcycle remains the same, however, Bajaj has made slight tweaks to its ergonomics to make it more touring-friendly. That said, the large muscular tank, the side-mounted exhaust, and the familiar headlight design all remain the same as the outgoing models of the Dominar 250 and 400.
The biggest updates are all mechanical and electronics. The 2025 Bajaj Dominar 250 gets four ABS ride modes and a Mechanical Throttle Body, while the larger 400 gets four ride modes (Road, Rain, Sport, Off-Road), ride-by-wire technology, and an Electronic Throttle Body.
The motorcycle also gets a bonded LCD instrument console with phone connectivity, an inbuilt GPS mount, and an updated switchgear. The running components are the same: 17-inch alloy wheels, USD forks, a monoshock at the rear, disc brakes at both ends, and LED lighting. The two motorcycles also come factory-fitted with accessories for long-distance touring.
The engine specifications remain the same as well. The 2025 Bajaj Dominar 250 is powered by a 248.8cc, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that makes 26.6bhp and 23.5Nm of torque, while the 2025 Bajaj Dominar 400 is powered by a 373cc, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that makes 39.4bhp and 35Nm of torque. Both motorcycles come with a 6-speed gearbox.
Sarang Kanade, President, Motorcycle Business Unit said, “At Bajaj Auto, we believe that a Dominar is more than just a machine – it’s a gateway to real-world experiences. Traveling imparts knowledge that books cannot. It reveals character, develops resilience, and expands horizons.”
He added, “We are committed to spearheading the Sports Touring revolution in India with the 2025 Dominar range, which features motorcycles that are ‘Born to Sprint’ and ‘Built to Tour’. The 2025 Dominar range is not just an upgrade, it’s a declaration: the road belongs to those who don’t hold back.”
