2024 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V launched at MotoSoul– priced at Rs 1.35 lakh

TVS conducted the second edition of the MotoSoul on 8-9 December in Goa alongside the India Bike Week 2023. The Hosur-based bikemaker took the opportunity to showcase plenty of concepts and prototypes in the motorcycle space. The company also launched the updated 2024 Apache RTR 160 4V priced at Rs 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom).

2024 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V: What’s new?

Booking for the 2024 Apache RTR 160 4V have already commenced while deliveries are expected to begin from early next year. The latest iteration of RTR 160 4V gets some significant feature upgrades. In terms of styling, it remains identical to the current model but receives two additional colour schemes namely– Lightning Blue and Matte Black.

Both colour schemes feature red alloy wheels and red graphics on the seat which lends a sporty contrast to the bike’s overall appearance. As far as features go, notable upgrades include  LED headlights with DRLs, dual-channel ABS, and multiple ride modes–  urban, rain, and sport. 

However, the biggest feature upgrade is the addition of TVS’ SmartXonnect connected vehicle tech with voice assist that offers functionalities such as  turn-by-turn navigation, crash alerts, and call/SMS alerts. TVS claims the updated Apache RTR 160 4V is now 2 kg lighter than the outgoing model.

2024 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V: Specs

In terms of mechanical specs, the only notable update is a larger 240mm rear disc brake with rear lift protection. The front continues with the 270mm unit. Suspension setup comprises front telescopic forks and a rear monoshock. The bike rolls on 17-inch wheels at both ends, shod with 90/90 and 130/70 tubeless tyres at front and rear, respectively.

Powering the Apache RTR 160 4V is a 160cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine that pushes out 17.35 bhp and 14.73 Nm of peak torque. This motor is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. It continues to rival the likes of Bajaj Pulsar N160, Pulsar NS 160, and Hero Xtreme 160R 4V.
