Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles, formerly known as Classic Legends, has updated its bobber range comprising— Perak and 42 Bobber. Both models receive cosmetic changes, while the former even receives a few ergonomic updates as well. Jawa is offering the 2024 Perak in just a fully-specced single colour variant, whereas 42 Bobber comes with six variants.
2024 Jawa Perak updates
For 2024, Perak has received a new stealth matte black and grey dual-tone paint scheme. It features beautifully crafted brass tank badging and a fuel filler cap for an authentic old-school appeal, along with a classic-styled quilted tan seat for enhanced comfort. Besides styling, the 2024 Perak also gets revised ergonomics with the introduction of forward-set foot pegs, positioned 155mm forwards. This should allow a more laid back riding posture. In terms of hardware, the Perak gets a new seven-step preload adjustable mono-shock which claims a plush and comfortable ride.
2024 Jawa 42 Bobber
On the other hand, the 2024 Jawa 42 Bobber gets premium diamond-cut alloy wheels with two colour options– Mystic Copper and Jasper Red dual-tone variants. Apart from the introduction of new alloy wheels, the 42 Bobber remains largely unchanged. It gets the same set of features including LED lighting, digital instrumentation, USB charging, an adjustable seat, and multiple luggage options.
Commenting on the launch, Ashish Singh Joshi, CEO of Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles, stated, “The Jawa Perak quickly became one of our top-selling models, a testament to India’s growing aspirational market. The 42 Bobber only cemented our segment domination further. The bobber mindset is an acquired one; you either have it or don’t. You must ride it to know if you have it.”

Powering both the bobbers are the same 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor paired with a six-speed gearbox via a slip and assist clutch. However, it is tuned differently for each model. For Perak, this motor churns out 29.5 bhp at 7500 rpm and a peak torque of 30 Nm at 5500 rpm. On the other hand, in 42 Bobber this motor pumps out 30.2bhp and a torque of 32.74 Nm. This is largely due to a larger throttle body and exhaust ports in the 42 Bobber.
