Honda has unveiled the 2024 CBR500R sportbike, which gets a significant update in terms of styling and equipment. Here’s what Honda’s popular twin-cylinder sportbike gets as part of the update for 2024.
Starting with the design, the fully-faired CBR500R gets a lot of its design inspiration from the larger litre-class CBR1000R, with a sharper front fairing and new bodywork, without changing the overall dimensions of the motorcycle.
The next big update is in the form of a TFT dash, which gets Bluetooth and Honda’s RoadSynch tech. The 5-inch TFT can be controlled via a dedicated switchgear on the left side, while the Honda Selectable Torque Control is now standard.
Apart from these updates, the CBR500R continues to get disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS, 17-inch wheels, USD forks, LED lighting, and more.
Power is derived from the same 471cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The India launch of the CBR500R is unlikely, however, with Kawasaki’s new Ninja 500 that will soon make it to India, the CBR500R could be a great alternative to those looking to buy a 500cc fully-faired motorcycle.
