The Triumph Speedmaster is based on more on the Triumph Bobber using it’s relaxed ride posture and ape-hangar style bar (another re-take on the Bonneville family). It will also share it’s motor with the Bobber and the T120, meaning that it is likely to have a 1200cc twin-cylinder motor that makes 77 bhp of power at 6,100 rpm and 106 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. It is also likely to be the heaviest Bonneville till date, tipping the scales at a phenomenal 245.5 kg. It comes will an entirely LED headlamp, with seperated twin-seats in the layout matched with forward set footpegs all of which are taken squarely out of the American cruiser design book. Triumph has equipped the Speedmaster with two riding modes – Road and Rain, ABS, switchable traction control and cruise control.

Now, setting the Speedmaster apart from the Bobber, is a 310 mm twin-disc brake setup at the front along with a slightly fatter tyre as well. Triumph will also be putting two accessory kits on sale that go with the Speedmaster; the Highway kit and the Maverick Kit. The Highway Kit gets a full set of soft-luggage panniers while the maverick kit gets a single seat and flatter handlebars.

Once launched in India, the Triumph Speedmaster will compete with the likes of Harley-Davidson 1200 Custom and is expected to be priced at about Rs 10 lakh-Rs 12 lakh.
