The 2018 model of the popular Hyundai Creta has been spied for the first time on Indian roads. The heavily camouflaged test mules have been snapped in the Salem, Tamil Nadu. The new 2018 Hyundai Creta will come with several changes on the exterior as seen in the spy images issued by Motor Vikatan and Team-BHP. The pictures show that the car will come with a revised bumper up front and the LED projector headlamp set up also looks different in comparison to the existing model. The new Creta will feature a redesigned wide 3 slat hexagonal grille that makes it look bolder than before. The car will now run on diamond-cut alloy wheels that now carry a new design. On the sides, there is not much change and the 2018 model looks almost the same to its predecessor.
The new 2018 Hyundai Creta will come with a seven-inch infotainment system that supports both, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Furthermore, the car will get contrasting touches around the air conditioning vents. The hazard light switch has reportedly been repositioned and it is now located above the infotainment system.
Talking of powertrain, the 2018 Hyundai Creta will most likely draw power from the same engines that run the present day model. Having said that, the new model will come with 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre diesel motors churning out 89 hp and 126 hp, respectively. The respective torque figures stand at 224 Nm and 265 Nm. Besides, there is also a 1.6-litre petrol engine on offer that produces 122 hp of power and 154 Nm of torque. A six-speed manual gearbox is expected to come as standard across all engine options. If you wish to opt for automatic transmission, the unit is limited to 1.6L petrol and diesel engines only.
The new 2018 Hyundai Creta is expected to be displayed at the Auto Expo 2018 followed by its India launch that should take place sometime before mid-2018. The prices will most likely see a slight revision as compared to the existing model to keep up with the competition.
