Hoping to finally move past convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s death, the FBI gave its verdict on the case. Declaring the sex offender’s 2019 death inside the notorious Metropolitan Correctional Centre a suicide, Deputy Director Dan Bongino said that there was no evidence to prove any foul play being at work.

After sitting down, alongside FBI Director Kash Patel, for a long-form interview with Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo, Bongino reiterated his claims on social media. In an X post, he wrote, “I have reviewed the case. Jeffrey Epstein killed himself. There’s no evidence in the case file indicating otherwise. I’m not asking you to believe me, or not. I’m telling you what exists, and what doesn’t. If new evidence surfaces I’m happy to reevaluate,” while addressing various issues worthy of a debate.

The deceased disgraced financier’s brother, Mark Epstein, has since slammed the suicide verdict. Speaking to the Daily Mail, he fumed over Patel having “no idea what the f*** he’s talking about,” as he “wasn’t there, he didn’t see the body, he didn’t see the autopsy.”

Why is Mark’s stance against the Jeffrey Epstein suicide verdict so firm?

He admitted that it would be a lot easier for him to move on as well if he accepted his brother’s death as suicide. Suggesting that there was a “long list of things” that serve as bombshell evidence of Jeffrey Epstein having been murdered in his prison cell. And so, Mark is among the many who are cynical of the FBI’s declaration surrounding the convicted sex offender’s death.

Standing his ground, Mark alleged that there was good reason for people wanting his brother dead, especially for “what he knew, what he had on people.” Recounting a conversation about the 2016 election he had with Jeffrey, asking him if he knew who would win the election. While the financier didn’t seem to have an answer to the big question, he reportedly told Mark ‘If I said what I knew about both candidates they’d have to cancel the election.”

Purported evidence suggesting Jeffrey Epstein was murdered in prison, according to his brother

Backing his belief, Mark maintained that he, too, had personally purchased and tested a bedsheet similar to the one Epstein is believed to have used to kill himself in the infamous NYC prison. He also admitted to have used weights similar to his brother’s body weight in his quest to disprove Epstein’s perceived suicide. The financier, who had expansive A-list ties during his time alive, was found dead on August 10, 2019, as he was awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

While Jeffrey’s file states that he was discovered hanging by a bedsheet, Mark Epstein said, “I don’t think that sheet could have held his weight, it would have torn.” In addition to slamming the FBI’s recent remarks on his brother’s death, he critically viewed then-Attorney General Bill Barr’s statements on the matter, labelling them “asinine and ludicrous.”

In light of the two cameras trained on Epstein’s cell experiencing technical issues, Mark went on to say, “So, Bill Barr came out and said he personally viewed the video and nobody went in or out of the tier [where Epstein was housed]. When I heard that I said this is cover up.”

He claimed further that to get to the tier in question one had to go through six levels of security in the NYC prison. Noting that 11 or 12 inmates were already on that tier, Mark said, “They would not have to go in or out of the tier to kill somebody in their cell. Supposedly cell doors were left locked.” The Epstein brother laid emphasis on how easily someone could have gotten into “Jeff’s cell and killed him.”

Before a quick transition to the cause of death being listed as suicide, Mark shared that his brother’s death certificate recorded “pending further study.” He questioned that if takes weeks before a firm answer is locked on, what possible “study” could’ve been in a matter of few days resulting in the suicide tag.

Directing focus to how Jeffrey Epstein was “hairy,” his brother also looked at his autopsy photographs picturing him as clean shaven with raised eyebrows. With shavings done only on Fridays at the infamous prison, the convicted financier’s body was discovered on Saturday morning. As per Mark’s takeaway, his brother should’ve had more stubble if he had just been dead for two hours.

Contrary to the reports saying so, Mark Epstein claimed that Jeffrey’s clean shaven disposition suggested that he must have died hours earlier. He even claimed that there was no sign of skin discolouration on Epstein’s legs and buttocks that appear in the aftermath of blood settling post death. He said that lividity was only spotted on his upper back, and called it a “startling” development as “That blood would not have travelled up into his back.”

Mark Epstein’s argument aligns with what forensic pathologist Michael Baden had to say about the case. The deceased billionaire’s family hired Baden after his death was initially ruled a suicide. According to the pathologist, homicide was more likely than suicide, as he focussed on fractures in Epstein’s thyroid cartilage and hyoid bone being indicative of strangulation.
