A Reddit post recently went viral after a user shared how a late-night ordeal near East Delhi turned into an unforgettable act of kindness, thanks to a Swiggy delivery man.

The incident took place around 11:30 PM, when the Redditor’s bike broke down on a desolate stretch near the East Delhi border. “My bike broke down in the middle of nowhere, that too near to the slums and shady areas with like 20 something stray dogs looking to draw blood,” the user wrote.

Close Encounter With Stray Dogs and Locals

According to the account, two men from nearby slums allegedly tried to snatch the biker’s bag and vehicle. “Two drunkards from slums started snatching my bike and bag (my bag had expensive things like iPad, MacBook, AirPods, iPhone, 15K cash, etc). I fought with them somehow and one of the persons from slum took them (those guys) away,” the post read.

The situation worsened when a pack of stray dogs attacked. “They kept attacking, I had to fight them with the helmet too. It got really scary, never happened to me. I never thought dogs can be this much dangerous,” the user recalled, adding that suspicious groups of people were also staring at him in the unlit area.

A Helping Hand at the Right Time

In distress, the biker parked near a roadside dhaba for safety when an unexpected savior appeared—a Swiggy delivery agent in his late 30s. “Then a Swiggy delivery man in late 30s came saying ‘Petrol khatam hogaya kya? Daal dun?’ Then I told him the real ordeal and he said ‘chalo baitho main peeche se dhakka lagata hun’.”

The delivery worker pushed the stranded bike all the way to the rider’s home. When the Redditor offered ₹500 in gratitude, the man refused. “He just went away smilingly saying ‘chalo meri taraf se kisi gareeb ko de dena’.”

The experience left the poster deeply moved. “I believe he’s the richest person I’ve ever met. It’s been two days and I’ve been praying he gets everything in life,” they wrote, calling the act a life-changing reminder of generosity and humanity.
