Sadhguru, founder of the Isha Foundation, graced the opening session of the 14th edition of INSIGHT at Isha Yoga Centre in Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore. There, he spoke extensively about the AI-driven era we are entering. As AI has been reshaping everything, Sadhguru said that “intellectual coolies” must stay agile to remain relevant.

“The world has become business-oriented, has begun to understand that the nature, the safety and the quality of life depend on how we conduct our businesses. It is not just about military or politics. Our business determines how well people live. A time has come when businesses should belong to the future because they are the leading edge of the world,” Sadhguru wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

‘Power of intellectual coolies to go away’

Sadhguru addressed the concerns around artificial intelligence and called it a catalyst for progress rather than a threat, describing AI as a “liberator of human potential”. He noted that while machines will take over data-heavy tasks, human imagination and creativity cannot be automated.

“The power of ‘intellectual coolies’ is going to go away very soon, and I’m so happy about this….Your brain and your intelligence are to be used in a different way, which a machine can never do,” he said, before adding, “People are thinking, ‘Oh, machines will come, everything will go away. Only data-related things will go away.’.”

He then expressed that those who consider themselves “settled” after landing one job must feel threatened by AI. “It’s for those people who thought they would do one job interview properly and after that their life is settled. For those people, this is a challenge.”

‘Entrepreneurs to stay agile as conclusion is death’

The 68-year-old then told entrepreneurs to take advantage of AI and be on top of things. “If you’re an entrepreneur, you shouldn’t care. It’ll open up a million new possibilities that you never thought possible.”

He also urged the entrepreneurs to remain agile, adding that they need to be on their toes all the time, thinking of survival.

“The first thing you have to learn is to be agile. If you are an entrepreneur, that means you’re on your toes all the time. An entrepreneur should not be thinking of survival. An entrepreneur is an adventurer wanting to create something, even if it costs life,” he said at the event that is hosting more than  200 participants from over 20 nations.

Sadhguru said that for entrepreneurs, reaching conclusions can be “death,” urging them to keep questioning and exploring every day to stay agile.

“…You will become innocent for integrity if you’re not constantly questioning every step that you take. If you don’t ask questions, you will start creating conclusions. Conclusion is death. Questions keep you agile and stepping into something fresh every day,” Sadhguru concluded.
