Jannik Sinner, the top seed from Italy, will face 12th-ranked Taylor Fritz from the United States in the US Open 2024 men’s singles final. The match is set to be held at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City on Sunday.

The final will be broadcast live and on TV in India, starting at 11:30 PM IST. Sinner began his US Open campaign with a challenging victory over Mackenzie McDonald, followed by wins against Alex Michelsen and Tommy Paul. In the quarter-finals, he triumphed over Daniil Medvedev with scores of 6-2, 1-6, 6-1, 6-4, and then secured a win against Jack Draper in straight sets, 7-5, 7-6, 6-2.

Taylor Fritz, ranked 12th, won his first three matches in straight sets. He proceeded to defeat Casper Ruud and, in the quarter-finals, overcame Alexander Zverev with a score of 7-6, 3-6, 6-4, 7-6. Fritz then edged out Francis Tiafoe in a five-set thriller, 4-6, 7-5, 4-6, 6-4, 6-1, to advance to the final.

Fritz is the first American man to reach a Grand Slam final in 15 years, since Andy Roddick at Wimbledon in 2009. Sinner and Fritz have met twice before, with each player securing one win, both times at the Indian Wells tournament in 2021 and 2023. This final will be their first Grand Slam encounter.
