The Delhi Capitals (DC) secured a momentous win after a super-over face-off against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Match 32 of IPL 2025. Kuldeep Yadav, the left arm spinner for DC is now in the second spot in the wicket-taker’s list for IPL 2025. Just behind Noor Ahmad from the Chennai Super Kings, Kuldeep Yadav has a record of taking 11 wickets from six games.

The player went off the field due to a shoulder injury in the DC vs RR match after diving to save a boundary. After bowling out his four-overs, he conceded 33 runs and picked the crucial wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal. The DC vs RR was afloat with player injuries after Sanju Samson was forced to retire after suffering a side strain. This caused DC to tie the score and enter the super-over.

IPL 2025 Purple Cap leaderboard

Noor Ahmad who is at number one hasn’t changed with his record of 12 wickets, however, Kuldeep Yadav is just one wicket behind. While CSK remains at the bottom of the IPL 2025 points table, bowler Khaleel Ahmed has made the list too alongside Shardul Thakur (LSG) with 11 wickets to their name.

After taking DC to victory in the super-over, Mitchell Starc’s yorker stole the show. Bowlers, Hardik Pandya, Prasidh Krishna, R Sai Kishor, Mohammed Siraj. Varun Chakravarthy and Harshit Rana are on the leaderboard as well.

IPL 2025 Orange Cap contenders

Awarded for the most runs scored, the Orange Cap’s top contender list remain unchanged after the IPL 2025 match on Wednesday. Nicholas Pooran from the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), B Sai Sudharsan (Gujarat Titans) and Mitchell Marsh (LSG) are in the top three spots.

However, Punjab Super Kings’ Shreyas Iyer and RCB’s start player Virat Kohli are just below making the top five in the Orange Cap leaderboard. Delhi Capitals captain, KL Rahul has scored 238 runs so far and moved up to rank 7 after the match. Yashasvi Jaiswal is a promising new face after he scored his third half-century this season.
