Late comeback by India with the ball
India found their way back into the contest late on, triggering a mini-collapse that saw Pakistan slide from 302/3 in the 43rd over to 327/8. Khilan Patel was the overall standout, dismissing both Usman and Hussain. But in this phase it was Devendran who was the wrecker-in-chief as India picked up quick wickets to prevent the total from spiralling further.
Despite the late surge, Pakistan have posted a formidable target, leaving India with a steep task ahead. With prodigies Ayush Mhatre and Vaibhav Suryavanshi at the top of the order, the Indian colts will back themselves to mount a serious challenge in the chase.
