Starting off slow, he saw his partners depart from the other end. But he kept his calm and held on to his end. India have scored 222 at the loss of 3 wickets from their twenty overs.
With two early wickets, Australia were all over India. However, a partnership between SKY and Gaikwad helped India return to the game. The pair together put up fifty runs, with SKY taking on the Australian bowlers. He departed in the eleventh over to Hardie. Once SKY departed, Gaikwad switched gears and was all over Australia in no time.
For Australia, Behrendorff has been the pick of the bowlers and has gone for just twelve runs in his four overs. Considering the dew factor, it would have been difficult for India to defend anything below 200 on this surface.
The third game of the five-match series between India and Australia is being played in Guwahati. India has stepped on the field with confidence as they are up by 2-0 in the series. Meanwhile, Australia will try for a comeback, and try to overcome the shortcomings of the last two games.
