India can’t afford to lose its global competitive advantage in services as the economy needs to grow at a faster pace to create jobs at a time when manufacturing, mining and agriculture sectors are still facing hurdles in expansion, finance minister Arun Jaitley said on Saturday.
“The competitive battle for services and the expansion of services is an area where we can neither afford to lose or can get (complacent),” Jaitley said, speaking at the Global Exhibition on Services organised by the Ministry of Commerce and CII.
