Capital expenditure in key infrastructure segments by the central government until Feb’22 was up 16.5% y-o-y and 28.7% vis-a-vis FY20.

This represented 80.7% of the budgeted estimate for the year.

The pace of expenditure picked up in roads, railways, urban development schemes and Metro projects while it slowed under the Jal Shakti mission.
