PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana 20th Installment: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on August 2 give a big gift to crores of farmers across the country. The PM will release the 20th installment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana at 11 AM tomorrow from his parliamentary constituency, Varanasi.

Under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme, nearly 10 crore farmers across the country will get Rs 2,000 each in their bank accounts. As part of 20th installment under the PM-Kisan, the Centre will transfer around Rs 20,500 crore to farmers’ accounts.

Working in ‘mission mode’ for farmers

A high-level meeting was held recently under the chairmanship of Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan regarding the preparations for this big event, in which senior officials of 731 Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), ICAR, agricultural universities and ministry across the country participated. The minister directed to celebrate it as a ‘campaign’ and ‘festival’, so that maximum number of farmers get the benefit and awareness about the scheme also increases.

Which farmers will get the benefit?

The benefit of the 20th installment of PM Kisan Yojana will be given only to those farmers whose information is correct and updated on the government portal. For this, farmers are required to update their e-KYC, bank details and land documents. If you have not updated these documents, then the installment may get stuck.
