PM-KISAN 21st Instalment: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Coimbatore on November 19, where he will launch the South India Natural Farming Summit and release the 21st instalment of the PM-KISAN scheme. The Prime Minister is slated to arrive in the city at 1:30 pm, after attending the centenary celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Baba in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh.

During the programme, the government will transfer over Rs 18,000 crore as monetary assistance under the PM-KISAN scheme. The latest instalment will benefit 9 crore farmers all over India, with every eligible farmer receiving Rs 6,000 a year. This will be paid in three instalments of Rs 2,000 each into the bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer. In a social media post on X, PM Modi stated that the summit is an important platform bringing together farmers, innovators and scientists working on eco-friendly and sustainable farming practices. He also highlighted that releasing the 21st PM-KISAN instalment to “hardworking farmers across the country” will be the key focus of the event.

UP, Rajasthan gear up for PM-KISAN next tranche of payment 

Ahead of the nationwide rollout, states have started announcing their own plans. In Uttar Pradesh, more than 2.15 crore farmers will receive the 21st instalment. Rs 4,314.26 crore set to be deposited directly into their bank accounts through DBT, as per a PTI report. On the other hand, in Rajasthan, the government said that Rs 1,332 crore will be transferred to 66.62 lakh farmers as part of this instalment. State-level events will be conducted across districts, with Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajnalal Sharma slated to attend the programme at the State Institute of Agriculture Management in Durgapur.

 As per officials, these payments form part of the broader nationwide transfer of Rs 18,000 crore under the 21st PM-KISAN instalment.

The Natural Farming Summit will focus on widening market connections for farmers and producer organisations. It will promote value-added processing, displaying indigenous agricultural technologies and eco-friendly packaging solutions. More than 50,000 participants from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry, Telangana and Karnataka are likely to mark their presence.

Steps to complete before 21st instalment is released

1.     Check the beneficiary status on pmkisan.gov.in under Framer Corner.

2.     To make sure Aadhaar-bank linkage is updated.

3.     Need to complete e-KYC through OTP, face authentication or biometric.

4.     Update the land record if it is required.

5.     Keep the bank account active for smooth DBT credit.
